About Woodbridge
Woodbridge is Vaughan's historic heart, running from Steeles Avenue north to Major Mackenzie Drive, and from Highway 50 east to Highway 400. The Humber River cuts through the middle, splitting West Woodbridge from East Woodbridge. It's been here since 1835 when Rowland Burr settled the area, they called it Burwick back then. The name changed to Woodbridge in 1855 after someone built a wooden bridge spanning the Humber River at Islington and Langstaff.
The Toronto, Grey and Bruce Railway arrived in 1870 and put Woodbridge on the map. By 1882 it incorporated as a village with over 1,000 people. Grain mills and flour mills lined the Humber River, and Abell Agricultural Works employed 200 workers building steam-powered farm equipment in the 1870s. Then Metropolitan Toronto started spilling north in the 1950s, massive suburbanization hit in the 1970s through 2010s, and Woodbridge became what it is now&mdashone of Canada's largest Italian communities.
You see rich Italian culture everywhere in Woodbridge. Italian restaurants along Woodbridge Avenue, specialty grocers, bakeries, St. Peter's Church anchoring the community. Market Lane Shopping Centre defines the downtown core at 140 Woodbridge Avenue, with shops, restaurants, and that village feel. Pine Grove is the historic northwest section, older homes and established families. Vellore and Vellore Woods stretch along Weston Road and Rutherford&mdashnewer developments from the 1990s and 2000s. Sonoma Heights sits near Islington and Rutherford. West Woodbridge, west of the Humber River, is all large lots and family homes.
Boyd Conservation Area and Kortright Centre for Conservation provide natural escapes along the river. The Woodbridge Pool and Memorial Arena keeps hockey families busy. Al Palladini Community Centre hosts the Saturday farmers market where locals gather for artisanal goods and live music. It's a place where families have deep roots, multiple generations live close together, and tradition matters.
Our Promise: Fresh. Local. On Time.

We take Major Mackenzie Drive for the northern sections, Highway 400 down to Highway 7 for the core, or Weston Road and Islington Avenue straight through the middle. During rush hour (4 to 6 PM), the Highway 7 and 400 interchange slows everything down, and we add 10 to 15 minutes. We know which routes work when.
Free delivery covers northern Woodbridge within 10 kilometers of our shop. Most addresses like downtown Market Lane, West Woodbridge, the southern neighborhoods near Steeles all fall into the $15 flat fee zone. About Jennifer's Flowers & Gifts
Carmen started this shop 18 years ago. These days she works mostly in the background, with her daughter helping during big occasions and a team she calls "so good." They handle everything from last-minute walk-ins to carefully planned celebrations.
Our 16x20 foot cooler, one of the biggest in the Greater Toronto Area, holds three rows of shelving packed with fresh flowers. We bring in at least 20 to 25 boxes every week, far more than most shops in the area. At any moment, you'll find 15 to 20 finished arrangements ready to go, plus buckets of fresh stems in every color.
Every day is different. Some days are slow until evening, when two or three families walk in needing funeral arrangements by morning. That's when the cooler and the team prove their worth. Being open seven days a week means we're there when life happens, planned or otherwise.
