About Concord
Concord is Vaughan's industrial and commercial heart, running from Steeles Avenue north to Rutherford Road, and from Highway 400 east to Dufferin Street. It's been here since 1854, when it started as a postal village named after Concord, Vermont by an American settler. The Northern Railway added a stop in 1853, and the area grew from there.
Today, Concord is a mix. The Highway 7 corridor is packed with warehouses, distribution centers, and corporate headquarters&mdashincluding Toys "R" Us Canada and Tootsie Roll Industries. The massive CN MacMillan Yard freight operation sits at the northern edge. But Concord isn't all business. Glen Shields, the southeast section near Steeles and Dufferin, is a residential neighborhood from the 1970s and 80s with modest detached homes where families have lived for decades. Dufferin Hill, up near Rutherford Road, is newer, built in the 2000s with traditional brick homes and townhouses. Carrville stretches east from the main Concord core, and Concord West sits near the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre subway station with modern condos for commuters who work in Toronto.
Vaughan Mills shopping center anchors the north end, and the Entertainment Central District south of Highway 7 draws people at night. It's a place where workers clock in at industrial parks during the day, couples celebrate at luxury banquet halls on weekends, and families go about their lives in the residential pockets in between.
Our Promise: Fresh. Local. On Time.
From our Maple location, Concord is 12 to 18 minutes away during quiet hours which is mid-morning or early afternoon. We take Keele Street south for Glen Shields, Highway 400 to Highway 7 for the industrial core, or Dufferin Street for Dufferin Hill. During rush hour (4 to 6 PM), the Highway 400 and 407 interchanges slow everything down, and we add 10 to 12 minutes. We know which routes to avoid when.
Free delivery covers all of Concord&mdashevery address with an L4K postal code. That's the entire district, from the southern residential streets to the northern industrial parks. We deliver seven days a week, and our 16x20 foot cooler stays stocked with at least 20 to 25 boxes of fresh flowers arriving every week.

Bellvue Manor, Terrace Banquet Centre, Venetian Banquet Centre Concord is home to multiple banquet halls&mdashBellvue Manor and Terrace Banquet Centre on Creditstone Road, Venetian Banquet Centre on Romina Drive, Fantasia Event Hall on Steeles Avenue. Each hosts weddings, corporate galas, and milestone celebrations. Flowers mark these occasions&mdashceremony décor, table arrangements, entrance displays, gifts for hosts.

Toys "R" Us Canada Headquarters & Tootsie Roll Industries (Jane St corridor) Concord's corporate offices send flowers for employee milestones&mdashanniversaries, retirements, promotions. Administrative Professionals Day in April drives steady demand. Executive gifts, lobby arrangements for client visits, and sympathy flowers for employees facing loss all come through the reception desks at these headquarters.
Corporate Office Parks (Highway 7 & Keele St corridor) Hundreds of warehouses and office buildings line the industrial core. Deliveries here require suite numbers&mdashbuildings house multiple tenants. Reception desks check in visitors. Loading docks operate 8 AM to 5 PM on weekdays. We know the protocols. Businesses send flowers for grand openings, employee recognition, and client appreciation.
Vaughan Mills Shopping Centre (1 Bass Pro Mills Dr, just north of Concord) This retail hub sits on Concord's northern border. Corporate partnerships, grand opening displays, and retail tenant recognition create occasional floral opportunities. The scale of the complex means coordination with property management for any event-related deliveries.
Glen Shields & Dufferin Hill Residential Areas Families in these neighborhoods send flowers for birthdays, anniversaries, get-well wishes, and thank-you gestures. Glen Shields homes have driveways and street parking&mdashstraightforward residential delivery. Dufferin Hill includes some gated communities that require buzz-in codes or advance notice. Most addresses are single-family homes where someone is usually available to receive flowers.
Moments That Bloom in Concord
Wedding Season (May-October) Concord's banquet halls see peak activity from late spring through fall. June, September, and October are the busiest months. Brides book Ascott Parc for garden ceremonies, Hazelton Manor for luxury receptions, and smaller venues for intimate celebrations. Bridal bouquets, bridesmaid arrangements, centerpieces, ceremony arbor flowers, and thank-you gifts for vendors keep us moving. Wedding deliveries require 48 to 72 hours' advance notice so we can coordinate setup timing with venue managers.
Corporate Recognition (Year-Round) The industrial corridor generates steady demand. Administrative Professionals Day (late April) is one of the busiest days&mdashoffices across Concord send appreciation arrangements to their support staff. Employee anniversaries, milestone celebrations, retirement parties, and executive gifts fill the calendar. Holiday parties in November and December bring requests for centerpieces and corporate gifts.
Sympathy and Funeral Services (Year-Round) Concord doesn't have funeral homes within its core industrial area, but residents here experience loss like anywhere else. Families receive sympathy arrangements at home addresses in Glen Shields and Dufferin Hill. Some arrangements go to funeral homes in nearby Thornhill or Richmond Hill. Memorial tributes, standing sprays, and casket arrangements provide comfort during difficult times. Vaughan Monument Company in Concord handles cemetery services, and families sometimes send fresh arrangements for graveside tributes.
Holiday Celebrations (November-December) Corporate offices host holiday parties in early December. Banquet halls book up for company celebrations. Lobby arrangements, centerpieces, and corporate gifts fill the order books. Families in residential Concord send Christmas arrangements to relatives and neighbors. The season runs from Thanksgiving through New Year's, with peak demand the first two weeks of December.
Birthday, Anniversary & Thank You (Ongoing) Glen Shields and Dufferin Hill families send flowers for everyday occasions&mdashbirthdays for parents, anniversary celebrations, thank-you gestures for neighbors. These arrangements go to home addresses, typically ordered for same-day delivery when someone realizes they need flowers that morning.
Graduation Season (Late April-June) Concord doesn't have high schools within its industrial core, but families here have students in York Region schools. Graduation flowers go to graduates' homes, teachers receive appreciation bouquets, and families send congratulatory arrangements to relatives. The season peaks in June when ceremonies fill the calendar.
About Jennifer's Flowers & Gifts
Carmen started this shop 18 years ago. These days she works mostly in the background, with her daughter helping during big occasions and a team she calls "so good." They handle everything from last-minute walk-ins to carefully planned celebrations.
Our 16x20 foot cooler&mdashone of the biggest in the GTA&mdashholds three rows of shelving packed with fresh flowers. We bring in at least 20 to 25 boxes every week, far more than most shops in the area. At any moment, you'll find 15 to 20 finished arrangements ready to go, plus buckets of fresh stems in every color.
Every day is different. Some days are slow until evening, when two or three families walk in needing funeral arrangements by morning. That's when the cooler and the team prove their worth. Being open seven days a week means we're there when life happens&mdashplanned or otherwise.
