Jennifer's Flowers & Gifts' Lovingly Reviews
Jennifer's Flowers & Gifts
Walk into our cooler. Seriously, we'll ask you to!
It's 16x20 feet, probably one of the biggest in the Greater Toronto Area, with three rows of flowers running the whole length. Most customers just stand there for a second, taking it all in. We've got at least 15 to 20 arrangements sitting ready (different colors, different vases, different everything), plus buckets and buckets of fresh flowers from our weekly 20 to 25 box delivery!
Carmen started Jennifer’s Flowers & Gifts 18 years ago. She jokes now that she's forgotten why, been doing it too long to remember the beginning. But her team? "I'm blessed with my team," she says. "Team is so good." Her daughter helps out during the crazy times. The designers handle whatever walks through that door! A slow Tuesday can suddenly explode at 5pm with customers!
The Shop That's Actually Open Seven days a week. Real hours. Not appointment only.
We're in that southeast corner at Jane and Major Mackenzie, across from Canada's Wonderland. The hospital (McKenzie Health) sits in the opposite corner. You can't miss us. We’ve been here for so long, other florists know to call us when they're in a jam. Need spurge. We got them. Missing peonies for that wedding order? We probably have those too. Several shops in Vaughan lean on our inventory when they're caught short!
How We Roll Local hockey clubs get their discounts here. Senior clubs too. Carmen sends flowers whenever anybody needs something for a charity raffle, just how she is. Kids panic in here looking for prom corsages last minute (happens every year, multiple times).
Some days nothing happens until it all happens at once. That's flowers for you. Could be dead quiet at lunch, then boom, evening hits and suddenly you're making arrangements until closing because life doesn't follow store hours!
